报告简介:
Studying the interplay between symmetry and topology is one of the major tasks of condensed matter theory, and in the past decade, the topological phases of matter that beyond Landau’s paradigm in quantum many-body system, namely the symmetry protected topological (SPT) states, attracts much attention. We aim to design a state-based method to detect the non-triviality of the states depending only on bulk measurements. In 1D, the string-order parameter can be used to distinguish different SPT phases, however extending the string-order parameter to higher dimensions remains unexplored. Recently, we found that disorder operator can be very useful in the detection of anomalous properties of SPT states, and in this talk I will discuss about our recent progress in the effects of disorder operator to the SPT states, which helps us to propose a bulk-measurement scheme in 2D to distinguish trivial and non-trivial phases. Our proposed detection scheme can be applied to both bosonic and fermionic SPT states. I will also discuss the relation between 2D SPT states and 1D (anomalous) mixed states in the evaluation process of disorder operator in SPT states.
报告人简介:
徐超,清华大学高等研究院博士后。2015 年本科毕业于中国科学技术大学,2021 年于加州大学圣迭戈分校获得物理学博士学位。2021 年至 2024 年在卡弗里理论科学研究所从事博士后研究,现于高等研究院继续博士后研究。研究方向为凝聚态强关联系统,包括拓扑物态、超导、自旋模型等。最近徐超的研究集中在拓扑态中的测量和量子反常相关的问题。
